Women and Wellness Fibroid Fit 2013 Rocks!

If you missed Women & Wellness Fibroid Fit 2013, presented by the Center for Image Guided Medicine at Emory Adventist Hospital, you missed out on a day full of fun, fitness and fashion. Hundreds of women converged on the Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort at Stone Mountain Park for the big event on Saturday, May 4th. UFE & Fibroid Expert, Dr. John Lipman urged women to empower themselves with information to make informed decisions about their health. He also discussed UFE, Uterine  Fibroid Embolization, a non-surgical treatment for uterine fibroids.

R & B Divas Star Nicci Gilbert also greeted the ladies and presented her Curvato Collection during a super charged fashion show produced by Olando Narcisse of Multi40rce Entertainment. Former Atlanta Falcons player Jamie Dukes and an instructor from the Put Up Your Dukes Foundation, presented a Chachersize demonstration. Chachersize, not to be confused with the Cha Cha Slide is an interactive exercise, designed to encourage movement as well as dance. Fitness guru Carla Fields had the ladies pumped up with excitement during her fitness demonstration. She also encouraged healthy eating.

The American Heart Association had everyone's taste buds tingling, as Chef Carolyn presented a cooking demonstration or shall I say a non cooking demonstration. The chef prepared a kale salad while Deitra Dennis of the AHA explained the benefits of being heart healthy. Motivational speaker and radio host Jennifer Keitt delivered an emotional and heart stirring message to the ladies and encouraged them to remember take care of themselves while dealing with life's challenges. Fitness Diva LaWanda Brokenborough ended the afternoon with full fledged Zumba class, complete with lots of movement, lots of sweat, and lots of burned calories. The event was hosted by veteran radio announcer Cynthia Young.

Dr. John Lipman wows the crowd at health seminar in Atlanta!!!

Over a hundred women gathered at West Side Community Church in SW Atlanta recently to hear UFE and Fibroid Expert Dr. John Lipman. Many of those attending the seminar expressed shock by the high number of hysterectomies performed in the US each year. Many of those hysterectomies were unnecessary. Dr. Lipman explained why UFE ( Uterine Fibroid Embolization) may be the answer!

Fibroid Team Heads South To Macon!!!

Nearly a hundred women converged on New Covenant Bible Church in Macon, Georgia to hear Fibroid Expert, Dr.  John Lipman's Freedom From Fibroids Without Surgery presentation. The women of grace and the women ministry members listened intently as Dr.Lipman explained how women who have had hysterectomies because of fibroids are putting themselves at greater risk for heart disease and stroke. Dr. Lipman talked about the non surgical method of treating fibroids, UFE (Uterine Fibroid Embolization) and explained how non invasive the procedure is compared to surgery. With UFE, women go home with their uterus intact. The procedure takes 45 minutes, the patient goes home with a band aid and the recovery period is about a week.

New Year, New You

Gospel radio station Praise 102.5 in Atlanta pulled out the red carpet for the annual New Year, New You Health and Wellness Expo. Hundreds gathered at Berean Christian Church in Stone Mountain, GA for the event.

UFE & Fibroid Expert, Dr. John Lipman participated in a panel discussion on healthy living in 2013. The Got Fibroids team was on hand, distributing information to the attendees. Dr. Lipman also  held a mini health seminar for women who are seeking relief and for women whose relatives or friends are suffering from fibroids. Dancers, Singers and Fitness Trainers also hit the stage.
